Guatemala Continued...
Day 6: May 16, 2008
Today we had the pleasure of shopping. We rode on a boat to get to Santiago. It was a beautiful site. I got to sit on the top of the boat during the ride, so the scenery was beautiful! Here are some pics of us on the boat and some things around us.
One of the opportunities we had in Santiago before we went shopping was to see a disaster that happened in 2005. In October of 2005, because of the hurricane three mudslides occured. It happened during the night so villages were completely buried under the mud. One entire village was buried and 500 people died. It was a terrible site. But our guide told us how God used it to His glory and how many people were saved. He sure is great! I was able to take some pictures.

Day 7: May 17, 2008
Traveling Day again! It was time to leave. We rode to Guatemala City in our bus. This trip took 4 hours again. It was a long one. But, once we got to Guatemala City we did some more shopping and I did some good bartering (with the help of Catalina, my Spanish speaking friend). We also saw some pretty awesome architecture.
